Activities
We provide financial assistance to needy and deserving students in the form of school / college fees, school uniforms, books, etc on a case by case basis. We mainly focus on the corporation schools in Coimbatore for logistic reasons. In the future, we also propose to cover schools in the rural areas near Coimbatore.
We especially focus on economically disadvantaged families that are sending their children to college for the first time ever.
We have also provided medical assistance to needy patients. In the financial year ending March 31, 2014, we provided cash assistance to five patients undergoing cataract surgery at Shankara Eye Foundation, Coimbatore. The next year, we provided free spectacles to about 300 patients at the same hospital and free food for about 400 patients.
